Great Crested Grebe Photo Story Part Two


Here is a small selection of images following on from the previous post. The Grebe pair that I have been following have now created a stable nest and the female is sitting on it quite regularly, she will no doubt be laying eggs soon unless she already has done and they are not in view. The birds still court each other and the male is taking part in alot of fishing activity, he will soon be fishing for the female too. There is a Mink present on site and although it has taken little notice of the Grebes themselves I am sure it will be paying close attention to their nest.
