Naturally it was only a matter of time before i blogged about Waxwings. With 6,000 of them in the UK at the moment and with heavy snow and cold forcing many of them downwards we finally have a local gang of them that are hanging around 1 area for an extended period of time. The white sorbus berries the line the street are a great food source for them and this is the main reason they are hanging about. Have only visited them twice, both times the fading sun at the end of the day have been a major problem but with all this bad weather recently i dont think i'm in a position to complain! I may take more Waxwing photos over the next few months but for now i am very much happy with these....enjoy!
