Lincolnshire Birding

Hope everyone enjoyed the Seal photo's, obviously a few birds were spotted over the days up in Lincs too so here they are....before setting off i decided to take a quick trip southwards to see the Brown Shrike at Staines Moor in Surrey. The M1 was an unlikely location for photography but a few swerves into the hard shoulder allowed me to see at least 5 Buzzards perching on posts by the side of the road...this one stayed long enough for a snap!

Arriving at Staines Moor these 'shrooms were nice to see!

The Long Tailed Tits were fun as usual

I decided to not cross the river and stalk the Brown Shrike
as a few people were doing thus this picture is awful and
it's just a brown dot! Ah well! Was happy to see it and a
big thanks to the bloke who lent me his scope, it really helped!

More mushrooms....."arty"

And another black and white pic on the beach at Gibraltar Point in Lincs

Skylark who just wondered out on the path in front of us before flying up!

Goldeneye and Little Egret

House Sparrow

Erin getting into this birdwatching lark!

Nice drake Smew, very distant but a first for me (Far Ings NNR, Lincs)

Flock of Gold and Green Finch

Reed Buntings, plenty of them along the coastline of Saltfleetby

Blue Tit pulling small grub like catterpillar things from these reeds

A flock of over 100 Snow Buntings and Twite, i was hoping
to get close to these put they had a constant visitor in the form
of a Sparrowhawk so they rarely stayed still for long!

Here he is swooping down!
